Overview
When COVID-19 forced courts to close their doors, many had to move to virtual hearings almost immediately. zconnect.io teamed up with Bright Sol Tech to build a tool that would help court staff manage online proceedings with the same structure and efficiency as in-person sessions. The goal was simple, keep cases on schedule, maintain privacy, and make the process easy for everyone involved.

Problem
The sudden shift to remote work left courtrooms struggling with a few key issues:

• No way to easily register participants ahead of time or assign them to the right case.
  
• Waiting rooms filled with people who didn’t know when or where to go.
  
• Difficulty confirming participant roles and keeping private cases secure.

These challenges caused delays, confusion, and extra stress for both court staff and participants.

Solution
Bright Sol Tech built zconnect.io, a custom Zoom application designed specifically for court operations. It allows staff to pre-register participants, group them by case, and clearly label each person’s role. The bilingual interface ensures accessibility, and staff can move participants between waiting rooms and sessions with just a few clicks.The result was a smoother, more organized virtual courtroom that saved time, reduced confusion, and helped courts continue their work during one of the most disruptive periods in recent history.
