Overview
A few years ago, the Eckerson Group came to us for a custom website that would highlight their expertise in data research and consulting. We built them a site that matched their brand and gave them a strong online presence. Recently, after Eckerson Group was acquired by Datalere, we were brought back in to redesign the site. This time to reflect Datalere’s brand and expanded capabilities. Our job was to merge two identities into one modern, unified website.
Problem
When Datalere acquired Eckerson Group, the existing site still reflected Eckerson’s old branding. That created a few challenges:
- The brand and visuals didn’t match Datalere’s identity.
- The combined service offerings weren’t clearly explained in one place.
- We needed to transition the site without losing traffic, search rankings, or confusing returning visitors.
The goal was to create a smooth transition that told a clear story about the merger while giving the new brand room to grow.
Solution
We worked closely with Datalere to create a site that honored both legacies but moved forward under one brand. We updated the design to match Datalere’s look and feel, organized services into clear categories, and made it easy for visitors to understand the full range of offerings. From strategy and governance to analytics, engineering, and AI. We also integrated thought leadership content like webinars, articles, and toolkits so the site remained a valuable resource.
On the backend, we handled all redirects and technical changes to ensure the transition didn’t disrupt traffic or search visibility. The end result was a clean, modern website that reflects Datalere’s expanded expertise and gives them a strong foundation for future growth.
